New

A support page for wrong prices and bugs

You can now send us a message from the support page when a game price looks wrong, a picture is broken or something in the game misbehaves.

  • Pick a topic and write your message. An email is optional and only needed if you want a reply.
  • A quick security check from Cloudflare Turnstile keeps spam out, and the form stores no IP address.
  • Prefer email? Write to contact@costcodle.org at any time.

New

An About page

The About page explains who makes Costcodle, where the puzzles and game prices come from and how the daily UTC schedule works.

  • Every puzzle has a fixed UTC date, starting with #1122 on October 15, 2026.
  • A game price is the snapshot saved in the original game's puzzle list, so it can differ from today's shelf price.

New

The Costcodle blog

The Costcodle blog covers how Costco prices work and how to win in fewer guesses.

  • The first post explains Costco price codes: what .97, .49, .00 and the asterisk mean.
  • Posts only use puzzles that have already ended, so they never give away today's answer.

New

A short video on how to play

The how to play section of the home page now has a 30-second video of a sample game.

  • It plays a past puzzle, #1122, from the first guess to the win.
  • It starts muted, and a transcript of the text on screen sits right below it.

New

Answers for every ended puzzle

Once a puzzle has ended, its product, game price and winning range go on the Costcodle answers page.

  • Each puzzle has its own page, and the list is grouped by month.
  • Today's answer is never published there.

New

Costcodle Unlimited

Costcodle Unlimited deals past items one after another, so you can practice as much as you like.

  • Only puzzles that have already ended show up.
  • Unlimited rounds never touch your daily streak.

New

Costcodle opens at costcodle.org

Costcodle is a free daily Costco price guessing game. Every day at 00:00 UTC, everyone gets the same Costco item and six guesses to land within 5% of its game price.

  • Each guess prints a line on a receipt that says Higher or Lower, and Close when you are within 25%.
  • There is no account and no app to install, and your games and stats stay in your browser.
  • The Stats window shows how everyone did, from anonymous results you can switch off.
  • Light and dark themes, picked from your system or by hand.
